Good morning from a bit cold Sunday morning here at Santa Pod Raceway!

It’s been raining during the night and the crew are out with the jet dryer to get some heat in the track!

We have been told that they will come by 1 hour before it’s time for us, they of course want to make sure that the track is safe for us!

This was today’s schedule from the beginning, I’m pretty sure it will be some changes to it because of the weather forecast!

Right now it’s really hard to stay motivated and make some progress!.. 🙃💤

But I have never given up before, so I won’t this time either! 🤓 Even that my head tells me to stop!.. I have said that we are going to Tierp Arena, and 2 weeks from right now we have just had our first day of qualifying! 🚦🚙💨🥳

It’s still a TON of work left to do, the whole Chevelle is still blown in pieces, the block need some machining for new main caps, I have ordered some parts from USA, dad are servicing our cylinder heads, all the parts to the engine is washed up and inspected and ready to go back together again after I changed main caps, linehoned and honed the cylinders on the block! 👌🏻🤓 The third member is also out and apart for inspection! 👀

To be able to do what I want at Tierp in 2 weeks everything needs to be in the right condition! 💎

This weekend I need to be away from this to get some new energy, then next week I will get help from the best person on the planet to finish up the Chevelle! 🤩 Yes, Sofi! ❤️ She knows her stuff and will for sure help me get motivated to continue! 🤠

This past weekend we started the big overhauling on the Chevelle! 😅

A huge thanks to John the Sneaky Snake for helping me out! 🙏🏻 Both with the Chevelle and for giving me inspiration to do this and spend time in the shop!… ❤️

To be honest, I’m still really frustrated and angry over the situation… This wasn’t the plan for 2024!…

We kind of blew the car apart totally! 💣 John have cleaned up a REALLY DIRTY race car body, carbon panels, wheel tubs etc.!… 💩🙊

It actually did hurt in my heart when I took of the blanket last week and saw what a bad shape the Chevelle was in… 🙄 But now it’s pretty much like new again, except that everything starts to be beaten up pretty good! 😅
But it’s also a 14 year old race car with the original paint job and no repairs made to it! 🙃👌🏻

The whole drive line is out for inspection also, every part needs to be checked! 👀🤓 Everything needs to be perfect! 💎

We are going to Tierp with one goal! 🤓 Put that 3.7? on the scoreboard with our Conventional Headed Big Block Chevrolet! 😎💪🏻

Over 2 years or more exactly 744 days since the Chevelle went down the track at Tierp Arena the last time! 😳 And that time we also won the final round! 🥳🏆🥇✌🏻

And today it’s a bit over a month or 37 days until it’s time to hit the track again and make a pass at Tierp Arena with the Chevelle! 🚦🚙💨💨💪🏻🤘🏻🤩

If I look forward to it!? HELL YEAH BABY I AM!! 🥳🤠

But it’s a crazy amount of work first, just to get the Chevelle ready for it! 🔧🔩🔨 The complete overhaul is starting in the beginning of next week! 😁

Ok, I’m on a entry list again! 🥳 Let’s bring out the Chevelle and go back where I belong! 😎

Yes, it’s time for some Outlaw Top Doorslammer Racing, Screw Blower and Big Block Chevys again! 🥳🤩

The huge disappointment of the turn the 2024 season took in England really upset me after all the preparation and effort I put into this season... What makes it even more frustrating is that I regret doing it and I should have spent the time on my own car instead… If I did, I at least would have invested the time in stuff that I still would have… And I live to do this, this is my life and that is something some people cannot understand.

So, it’s time to test the things I haven’t tested on the Chevelle for a couple of years now! 😎🤩 In 2022 Tierp was the only place to test it but we did have other issues with the car on that event so I never got the chance!.. 🙃

About a week ago I entered the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals at Tierp Arena 8-11 of August! I want to go there and try to use the motor / stuff I got in my head for real and the only goal is to put a 3.7? number on the scoreboard! 🤠

Then the weekend after that we will go back home to my home track where my home motor club SHRA Vansbro-Äppelbo arrange the event Dala Street Open at Dala-Järna Raceway 17-18 of August! 😃 It was great last year even that the weather made it a one day event, so this year I really look forward to two days of exhibition rounds and trying to go as fast at possible! 💪🏻🤘🏻

But first a couple of weeks of vacation and reload! Then back to the ÅBM Shop and make a real overhaul on the Chevelle! 🔧🔩🦾 I haven’t serviced it like it deserve after the 2022 season because I have spent my time on other things!…

Let’s have some fun, it’s time to go into that 3.7? zone! 🤓🚦🚙💨

That’s it for 2024!

The rest of the planned schedule for The Pro Mod Parkinson Tour In 2024 is cancelled!

I feel that I need to say something and explain parts of the situation because a lot of people are contacting me and are cheering on us about the race at Tierp Arena this coming weekend.

This could have been a really good start on the season, with some luck we managed to go all the way to the semi finals! And that gave us points to end up in the fourth position in the European Championship after the first event for the year! That felt good but at the same time now it does not matter at all…

I want to say thanks for the support to the ones that made the trip to Santa Pod possible, partners, team, family, you know who you are! 🙏🏻
