It’s Friday and time for qualifying here at Tierp Arena!

It’s a cold and cloudy morning here are Tierp Arena! I did just get the running order for Q1!

We will go out for the first qualifying round around 12:30-13:00, I guess.

It’s a bit cold and cloudy, and I hope that the weather forecast is wrong for today!…

We got some breakfast a while ago and we are now just waiting to warm up the motor and get ready for the round in about 4 hours from now!

And me and Daniel have finally arrived at Santa Pod Raceway in England after a 44-ish hour long trip from the ÅBM shop! 🚛💨⛴️

Now 2 hours of sleep and then roll into the track and start set up our pit area and get things ready for the weekend! 🤩🥳😴😴😴

2 good days of traveling for me and Daniel from the ÅBM to Malmö, ferry to Travemunde then through Germany, The Nederland’s, Belgium and to the harbor in Dunkerque France! 🚛💨

Where we are right now to take the midnight ferry over to the UK! 🇬🇧

So far everything have went pretty smoothly and we have just got some minor issues with the truck and trailer, just small stuff that we have been able to fix, customs at the French border was something I was a bit worried about but that also worked out without any issues! 😃

We will arrive in England about 1 after midnight and will probably continue our trip directly to the UK customs that hopefully will work just as good as here in France so we can continue to Santa Pod Raceway and arrive there and start build our pit area tomorrow morning and get ready for the Doorslammers this coming weekend! 🤠🥳🤩

After that I took the trip back to the ÅBM shop and we are pretty much ready to hit the road tomorrow and heading for @santapodraceway for the race this coming weekend at The Doorslammers! 🤠

After around 160 hours in the shop the last 8 days

After around 160 hours in the shop the last 8 days trying to get work stuff done and the racing circus ready to leave for Santa Pod on Monday next week, it’s finally time to leave the ÅBM shop way delayed and heading for Ludvika to drop of the rig and then directly home to Vansbro for something really important! 🤩

Celebrate the love of my life and best friend Sofi that’s turning 40 years young on Monday! ❤️🎈 When I’m in the Scania on my way to England!
So, 2 days home relaxing some and having a good time and then back to Ludvika on Sunday and load up the Vette and the missing parts around it, trying to organize the trailer a bit because it’s ha HUGE mess right now…. 🤯

After that back to the ÅBM shop and then leave for England on Monday!

We are getting closer to take off for Santa Pod Ra

We are getting closer to take off for Santa Pod Raceway! 🇸🇪✈️🇬🇧🎉

The Scania truck finally got back to the ÅBM shop Saturday last week after the repairs / freshen up that’s been made during the winter! 🤩💎👌🏻 And what a difference it is! 😃 Thanks to all involved in this that made it happen! ❤️🙏🏻

Then I spent some time messing around with it due to some air leaks, it’s so much fun with an old truck! 😂😅 But I succeeded to repair the valve that caused the leak after some work with it!… 🤓

Then I installed arm rests on the “new” drivers seat to make it even more comfortable! 🤩 And I must say WOW what a difference it is to drive it now, that old park bench that was in it before was junk already when we bought it in 2017! 😅🤪 This was money WELL spent for sure! 🎈

After that I cleaned out the cabin / dumpster really good, installed the generator on the truck and did put the truck and trailer together again and took the trip to Opus car inspection in Norrtälje for the yearly control of the truck and trailer! 🚛💨

And it looks like the hard work during the winter payed off, because both passed without any problems! ✅💯 Thanks for the great customer service as always at this control station! 🙌🏻👏🏻🙏🏻

Then when I got back to the shop John The Sneaky Snake came by and washed of the rig! 🐍🧽🫧❤️

Now some last messing around with stuff that needs to be prepared, loaded in the trailer, organizing in the trailer and then tomorrow I will be heading to Ludvika to load up the Vette! 🥳
