At Tierp Arena and pretty much ready for tomorrow’s testing!!

We did arrive to the track around 15:00 and it for sure feels really good to be here again!

I was really windy when we got here and during the time we put up our tent in started to rain some… Of course!

And just a little while after we got our pit space ready it started to rain really much, well at least it’s only Friday!…

As always we got LL-Racing just beside us!

The Chevelle is unloaded and it is time to show the new injector hat!

The new hat looks awesome on the car!!!

My race car is my hot rod, if it doesn’t look good I’m not happy! 😅🙊🙈

During the past week me and dad have finished up the new windshield and front side windows! Did also repair some worn out door hinges!.. 😝 A 15 years old race car needs some TLC for sure!.. 😅 Well, the Chevelle is getting back like new again even that it was born over 15 years ago! 😅 I think it looks great and I’m happy with it! With the new windshield I also did reset the “race entry stickers” to zero! 👶🏻 Just some new decals needed and we are all done! 👌🏻

Peter went by today during the evening! 🙏🏻😍 He’s pretty much like me, doesn’t have a life outside cars! 🤪😆 We did install the heads on the empty block and got it into the chassis for this coming weekend work! 😁

It’s time to get the new headers welded up, that’s the last thing to do on the Chevelle before the season starts! Except for putting the engine back together!

Today it’s less than 3 weeks to the first round in the Top Doorslammer Series, still no crankshaft!… 😅🥹🥲

My feeling the moment when I realize that I still don’t have a crankshaft! And we only have 3 weeks left to the first outing for the year in the Top Doorslammer serien 2025 at Tierp Arena! 😳😬

But then I think about that I’m on the entry list for the race, and that makes me happy! 🤠🤩

Better having a plan and a goal and work for it instead of a race car in the shop, a race car should be out on the drag strip! 🥳

The Top Doorslammer entry list for Speedevents Int

The Top Doorslammer entry list for Speedevents Internationals, June 12-15 2025 At Tierp Arena!

First round in the TD series this year.

Not the amount of cars I was hoping for, this was the final list at May 12 when they closed for teams to enter the event, then a couple of days later they did open it up again for teams to enter due to the low total amount of teams in all classes!… 😕

I have seen that around 5 more teams have entered the event, but no more cars in Top Doorslammer!.. The final date to enter now is May 24, make sure to enter and help out make Drag Racing and Top Doorslammer better again!…

There are people and teams out there that can make the class better by enter races.

If you don’t enter and help out, make sure that you stop complain about things not getting better when it comes to Drag Racing.

Edit: When making this post I did receive a email about the event. They will cancel the running on Thursday and make a 3-day event instead due to the low amount of pre entries! I totally understand that they need to do this, and it’s sad that they have to.

This also makes it harder for me to do what I want with the car, we might get the same amount of rounds but in less time! I were really happy to be able to do big changes during Thursday and Friday due to a lot of extra time, now we need to focus more on safe rounds instead and make sure to qualify…

Pretty good progress this past weekend working on

Pretty good progress this past weekend working on the Chevelle, truck and trailer! 💪🏻🤩

Me, Krille and Eddie did catch up some time together which was fun! 😍 Then we finished up some unfinished stuff on the truck that I’m not satisfied with, fixed some problems with the drivers seat, made sure that the rear wheel tubs won’t come loose again like they did last year on the way home from Santa Pod, had to repair one broken wheel tub also because of that! 🙃
Then Krille did fix some issues with the tail lights that worked just like they wanted every now and then, he also did install them a bit better…

We got the new generator for the trailer installed, once again a HUGE THANKS to Krille and Edlunds Maskinservice for helping me out with it for this season, MUCH APPRECIATED! 🙏🏻❤️

Also a huge thanks to @kumeriusmekanik for helping me out with some stainless sheets in a hurry so we could fabricate a box to protect the generator from water! 🙏🏻

Then we finally got a roof hatch installed in the trailer bathroom, this is something I’ve been on my way to do since we started to use the trailer! 😅 Both to let air in and out the bathroom when using the shower and also to be able to get out if needed! (Hopefully never)

Dad pretty much finished up the new windshield and side windows for the Chevelle, just need to paint the black border and get some decals in place and then install them on the car again! 🪛👌🏻💎

Peter spent Saturday and Sunday with some more transmission school, learned how to get the transmission and converter drive out of the car, we did go through the Bruno converter drive and the converter, he did service our last Lenco and then got it all back into the car again! 🤩
So, the whole driveline is done and ready to make a pass! 😎

Still just a little issue, we got no crankshaft for the engine! 😅

It’s time to work on the racing circus again, it’s a Chevelle, truck and trailer weekend! 🥳

Not much done in the past 2 weeks or so, only thing made is that me and dad have started on the new windshield and side windows for the Chevelle. 💎👌🏻

Peter went by Wednesday evening for some more transmission school, crash course in how to get the transmission and converter drive out of the car and back into it again! 🔧🔩 Feels great that he wants to learn, feels good for me so I might be able to think less about that part of the car when we are at the track this summer! 🤠

This coming weekend will be something special and I’ve been looking forward to it, Krille and Eddie took the long drive down from Sollefteå up north Sweden yesterday to spend the weekend with me and get stuff done on the trailer and on the truck! 😃 And catching up some time together! 🥰

It’s time to finish up some unfinished stuff from last year on the truck and stuff that I’m not satisfied with, install a new generator for the trailer that Krille and Edlunds Maskinservice helped me out with for this season, MUCH APPRECIATED! 🙏🏻❤️ What a great friend, team member and partner all in the same person! 😍

Then we will do some updates on the trailer that I been in my way to do for many years now! 🤩🤓

Feels sad to announce that we won’t be at Dala S

Feels sad to announce that we won’t be at Dala Street Open at Dala Järna Raceway with the Chevelle and support my home track and home motor club SHRA Vansbro - Äppelbo in 2025!.. 🙄😢

I want to, BUT!… It’s always a question about money and getting help. Fundings is a thing that you are able to work for yourself and solve so you can get to the track. But before in the shop getting stuff ready and when you are at the track you also need people around you that can help you out, have the interest to spend their free time working on someone else’s stuff because they think it’s a fun thing to do, then you can’t just take a random dude and put into a circus like this! I need to trust the person and the person needs to fit, I see this as my family. You do not let any random person into your family just like that! 🙃

The last 2 years 2023-2024 was fun at Dala Street Open! 🤩🥳 I might be at the race and help out, too early to say anything right now because when I’m going to a track I want to play with my race car.

I have been lucky to be surrounded by great people for a long time! ❤️🙏🏻 But time changes! (Not the great people tho! 😅) But their interests in wasting time on a race track on someone else’s stuff! 😊

I have announced earlier that this will be a strange season and it might not end up like I want to when it comes to attend races, due to a missing crankshaft, money and team. 😬 But that’s life! 😅

I assume time will tell! 🤠
