First full pass for 2014!! 4.22 @ 285km/h!

Did slip the clutch like crazy!!! I had a ghost with me in the car all the way down the track, some shake, some turning in the end of the track! But did keep the pedal to the metal!!

Finally a run to look at in the Racepak!!

It’s time to face the truth!. I will not get a crankshaft in time before TD round 1. ☹️

I been keeping a positive mindset about this issue from the start because it did look bad already when I ordered the crank, I did check with Bryant to see how far away it is. Only 2 weeks to when I must have it! 😅

Answer was:
“Crank is in Rough Grind - best guess probably 5 more weeks. We have a few slow downs out on the floor and a lot of cranks in production - doing everything we can!”

When I ordered it in January I was told 20-25 weeks as estimated time, but it might go faster! It’s 18 weeks since I placed the order so they are still in the estimated time schedule. 😊👌🏻

I’ve been hoping for the best and continued working on everything around to make sure all stuff will be done in time if the crankshaft would arrive in time! 💪🏻🤠 So the Chevelle is back to it’s former greatness even that the car is 15 years old, I have serviced, repaired, done updates and changes I’ve been thinking about for many years now! 💎🥳

Next thing, it wasn’t like I didn’t know about it could end up like this! I been aware that this should not work out!
Many have asked why I’m not more disappointed about this, well compared to 2024 I knew this was coming! Last year got destroyed by something I wasn’t prepared for!

Crazy part about this is that I in November last year was thinking about letting the Chevelle sit for this season, but after 2024 I felt that I want to have some fun again so I changed my mind and started to work for the fun 2025! 🤩

Well, all I can hope for now is that the crankshaft won’t destroy our plans to go to Mantorp in July also!… 25 weeks from order date will be the week before the Mantorp race!…

For the first time this year I really lost the spirit to work on the racing circus and instead of spending 4 whole days getting the truck and trailer ready for the yearly inspection and finish up the new headers me and Sofi started on last weekend I went home to do something without racing involved!

The racing season is already over for me because I miss the first event, so 2025 will just be a testing year for the coming 2026! 💪🏻😎🤘🏻

My race car is my hot rod, if it doesn’t look good I’m not happy! 😅🙊🙈

During the past week me and dad have finished up the new windshield and front side windows! Did also repair some worn out door hinges!.. 😝 A 15 years old race car needs some TLC for sure!.. 😅 Well, the Chevelle is getting back like new again even that it was born over 15 years ago! 😅 I think it looks great and I’m happy with it! With the new windshield I also did reset the “race entry stickers” to zero! 👶🏻 Just some new decals needed and we are all done! 👌🏻

Peter went by today during the evening! 🙏🏻😍 He’s pretty much like me, doesn’t have a life outside cars! 🤪😆 We did install the heads on the empty block and got it into the chassis for this coming weekend work! 😁

It’s time to get the new headers welded up, that’s the last thing to do on the Chevelle before the season starts! Except for putting the engine back together!

Today it’s less than 3 weeks to the first round in the Top Doorslammer Series, still no crankshaft!… 😅🥹🥲

My feeling the moment when I realize that I still don’t have a crankshaft! And we only have 3 weeks left to the first outing for the year in the Top Doorslammer serien 2025 at Tierp Arena! 😳😬

But then I think about that I’m on the entry list for the race, and that makes me happy! 🤠🤩

Better having a plan and a goal and work for it instead of a race car in the shop, a race car should be out on the drag strip! 🥳

The Top Doorslammer entry list for Speedevents Int

The Top Doorslammer entry list for Speedevents Internationals, June 12-15 2025 At Tierp Arena!

First round in the TD series this year.

Not the amount of cars I was hoping for, this was the final list at May 12 when they closed for teams to enter the event, then a couple of days later they did open it up again for teams to enter due to the low total amount of teams in all classes!… 😕

I have seen that around 5 more teams have entered the event, but no more cars in Top Doorslammer!.. The final date to enter now is May 24, make sure to enter and help out make Drag Racing and Top Doorslammer better again!…

There are people and teams out there that can make the class better by enter races.

If you don’t enter and help out, make sure that you stop complain about things not getting better when it comes to Drag Racing.

Edit: When making this post I did receive a email about the event. They will cancel the running on Thursday and make a 3-day event instead due to the low amount of pre entries! I totally understand that they need to do this, and it’s sad that they have to.

This also makes it harder for me to do what I want with the car, we might get the same amount of rounds but in less time! I were really happy to be able to do big changes during Thursday and Friday due to a lot of extra time, now we need to focus more on safe rounds instead and make sure to qualify…
