Got a great memory on FB today, from 6 years ago back in 2019! 🤩 When it was time to go to Santa Pod Raceway for the first time with the Chevelle! And do some 1/4 mile racing for the first time in 8 years or so at the Doorslammers and Main Event! 🥳

The whole plan from the start was to go there and become the world’s quickest conventional headed Big Block Chevrolet! 😎💪🏻

And so we did! 🤘🏻 Dreams and plans will come true if you really work for it, want it enough, stays focused on the right things and prioritizes the things that is important! 🤠 Which means, no horsing around! That’s for losers!! 🙊

Below is something I wrote already in March 2019, I did have a plan and I did stick to it!
Which means, success will come! 🤓

”Goal in this deal is to become the worlds fastest Chevy Big Block powered doorslammer with standard bore space and conventional Chevy heads on the 1/4 mile! 🤔💡👌🏻 From what I know the worlds fastest Chevy Big Block today is a turbo car that made a 5.89@254mph pass in 2017 and that motor got standard bore space but it also got Big Chief heads and that’s kind of cheating if you ask me!? 🤪😜 I don’t think I will be able to beat the MPH but I must be faster than the 5.89 before going back home again! 😋😋 Well I’m doing this just as a fun experience and we will for sure know after the weekend at Santa Pod who got the worlds fastest (standard) Chevy, right!!? 😁”

Remember when everyone said “that car can never be fast with that body and engine” but 5.8813 @ 242.55mph / 390.35km/h on the 1/4 mile is pretty fast if you ask me! 🖕🏻😜

In 2025 I will put my focus on my own stuff and 1/8 mile racing only, I’m pretty sure it will be a success! 😁 We will see, stay tuned! 👀

And I know exactly what I will be doing ALL WEEKEND!! 🥳 Working on the Chevelle and what can be better than watching the last race of the @dragillustrated Winter Series from @bradentonmotorsportspark 🤩 It’s time for The World Series Of Pro Mod again! 💪🏻🚙💨

We got 80 of the BADDEST Pro Mods in the world fighting to get into a 32 car ladder for eliminations tomorrow! 😎

I really HATE that I can’t be there this year!… 😭😭 But working on my own car and watching this live on the TV at the same time is pretty awesome also thanks to Flo! 😁

Have done some small stuff during the past 4 weeks on the car, it’s even more taken apart for service, preparations, updates and getting some well needed love! 🔧🔩

I have fabricated a new co2 regulator deal to hold the regulators better, been thinking about it for years! 😅

Dad has finished up our conventional cylinders head with some new springs and cut some seats! 👌🏻💎

I needed new racing computers due to the old ones started to be old and worn out, don’t want to get to the track and the computer is dead!.. 💻💤😬

I have fixed / changed some other things I should have done for years on the car!.. 😅🤪

Parts are arriving pretty often now and I can promise that I look forward to test the updates during the coming season!! 🤓🤘🏻😎

And I haven’t just been working on the car, I have myself lost 10+ kilos which feels great and less weight = faster race car! 🥳 Yes, that was the most important thing of course! 😜🤣

About the new crankshaft on order, well it should be around 16-20 weeks left now!… 🫣🙃 Hold your thumbs that it will go way quicker so we can be at Tierp Arena in June!

I want to say a huge thanks to all involved that made the Dala Street Open race at Dala Järna Raceway possible! 🙏🏻😍

I did this Top Doorslammer exhibition race last year again because I want to support my home motor club SHRA Vansbro - Äppelbo, that together with Big Wheels Malung and Borlänge Dragracing Klubb arrange this event at my home track Dala Järna Raceway! 😃

We almost managed to repeat our performance from 2023 with a 4.33 at 274 km/h as the best during the weekend! 🚙💨
