The day started really warm with sun and blue sky! 🙂 Which feels kind of strange after 2 weeks of rain!… It’s time to put the Chevelle together and make it ready for tomorrows exhibition rounds!
We got some breakfast and did play Happy Birthday for Krille! 🙂

It’s time to start put shocks, some Racepak stuff and the converter, converter drive and transmission back in the Chevelle!
We are at Dala-Järna Raceway for this coming weekends Top Doorslammer exhibition race at Dala Street Open with our old Chevelle 65!
It was a 10 minute drive from our friend Dan where we parked the rig when we arrived to Vansbro Monday this week!
For the first time in three weeks it was sunny, blue sky and really warm outside when we arrived at the track!
When we arrived to Dala-Järna Raceway Henrik Brink from Hudik Raceway was here and helped out with the track preparation!
We got the trailer in position and started to build our pit area!
Went out for a sunny and warm track walk!
Got the Chevelle unloaded at a race track for the first time in a year! 🙂
Then me, Sofi, Krille and Fredrik got some pizza dinner! The rest of the team will arrive tomorrow!
After that it was time to just enjoy the warm evening and have a good time before the work starts tomorrow on the Chevelle!

Racing starts on Saturday, so tomorrow Friday is just about preparations and getting the Chevelle ready!

Me and Krille arrived at the ÅBM shop yesterday evening after our rainy weekend at Tierp Arena, directly we did start to prepare for this coming weekend and Dala Street Open at Dala-Järna Raceway with the Chevelle!
It’s going to be fun to make some exhibition rounds in the Chevelle to end the 2023 season! 🙂

Me and Krille arrived in Täby at the ÅBM shop a while ago and on our way home the weather that we been missing all weekend came!… And here at the shop we got clear blue sky, sun and 22 degrees Celsius!… Kind of hard not getting angry after 4 days at the race track in rain, cloudy sky and no sun, really cold and heavy winds!… 🙁

We started to load up pretty early today when the rain finally stopped!…
We got some lunch.
The it was time to finally go home!

It started to rain last night and the weather forecast said that it will rain all night and all this morning! The forecast have been a little to accurate the last couple of weeks!…
We ended up at spot 19 in the qualifying list and due to one car before us is loaded already we are second reserve but I decided yesterday that I’m not going to sit and wait again in the line up for the third day in a row so we are loading up instead!
Pro Mod was the first class out for the day at 09:20 (before the pre race ceremony) which is a big joke if you ask me, the clock is now 10:10 and it’s still raining!…
It’s going to be a fantastic day for the ones sitting here and waiting in the rain…
This might be the worst weekend I’ve been on for many many many years!…
The first time ever that I got wheel speed in the Corvette!… Straight up, I felt in the burn out that there was NO track because it felt like making a burn out on grass!… The change from the round before when we was way low in wheel speed was to move a little weight in the car and a little shock change! That ended up with that I spun the tires directly on the line….
When looking at the other runs (so far) they are not done yet because Åke the Baker made a couple of 360:s out on the track, which tells me that the track is not there and I would say that this qualifying pass would have been cancelled, the track is not like it should be when letting out cars like this!…
I got rain drops on my windshield when rolling down the track after I spun the tires…
