We got the parts to be a part of race day!

We will race tomorrow!!

A huge thanks to Mats Logren for reaching out! Thanks to Lars Logren and Håkan Nordström for open up the shop Turnited & Turner / CNC / Lego in Falun late at a Saturday night and help us fabricate what we need! 🙂

And thanks to Nicke and John for taking the trip from Tierp to Falun during the night to pick the part up so we can install it tomorrow morning! 🙂

The car is done, and before they went we got a great dinner made by our Kockafan!

This past weekend I finally got the truck and trailer in the winter spot, and made it all ready for the real winter to come! 🥶 It’s getting closer for sure, I assume that the snow and minus degrees are just days away now! 🙈👎🏻 I’m thankful for the early sunset, it’s always funnier to work outside when it’s dark, cold and rainy! 😁 LOL!…

Must say that the trailer looks really bad at the moment, and what a crazy amount of work we will have on it next year! 😑 That SUCKS! 😬 But it is what it is, it won’t get made by itself that’s for sure!… 😅🤣

Trailer junk work, The White Hell is back again part 2! 😴

One reason to the moisture damages is for sure a leaky roof and a really bad repair work from a ladder that went through the roof when it was all new!… Still wonder who it was that did put the ladder in the place that caused it! 😅🤣 Well, anyway you can see on the pics how it looks when you hire a company to fix it!… 🤨👎🏻

Compared to when two mechanics are doing it, now it’s made to last and we did use fiber glass instead of just a fine filler that you use to take out small dents!… In this case it has cracked and I’m happy that I saw it before the winter when it would have destroyed the trailer even more!…

Then with opening up and sealing of the loose parts on the side walls and removing the bad plywood to let it dry up plus that I have installed an air / moisture dryer that will be going all winter I think it will be ok! Only after about 4 weeks it now starts to look pretty ok, it can only get better!.. I hope! 😅

So, right now I know that we will have a lot to do on the trailer when it starts to get warmer outside again in about 6 months or so!… 😅

And I’m really happy to have Peter that enjoys working with polyester and fiber glass! 😅🙊 And he’s good at it also, that for sure makes me a little bit more positive about this shitty situation!… 🙏🏻

Then thanks to our awesome friends and Åkes Bil & Motor shop customers @bktransportab me and Peter could stay inside in their shop for a weekend (a HUGE thanks for that once again! 🙏🏻❤️) sealing up some stuff and getting some white rubber paint on the roof (thanks to @thorbjorngrundstrom for the paint) to make sure we won’t have any more leaks in the future!

And because of this I already know that we won’t do any crazy things during 2026, we won’t go to England and we will not make any series! We might do a couple of events just to try keep the spirit up, if I find a solution when it comes to the blower.

The Chevelle will be serviced during the winter when we can’t work on the trailer either way, better have it ready just in case, if things turns out better than expected!

The White Hell is back again!! 😬🙃

Trailer junk work, part 1! 😴

Everyone that knows me or have been following the trailer project from the start knows that I did this build from scratch and started with a totally empty trailer so I could get it like I wanted it to be! 👌🏻 Did not wanna buy something that someone else had a different idea about and then try to live with it ! 👎🏻

Also I’m gonna build one trailer and do it with such a quality to keep it as long as I will be in the sport of drag racing! 👌🏻 And right now the trailer makes me wanna end my racing circus!… 😑

It’s about 10 years since we started to work for real and build it, I hired a company to change out the roof and fix some damages on the upper part of the trailer side walls! It was such a mess and problems all the way dealing with them and the quality was close to zero!… 😑
So we ended up fixing moisture damages everywhere in the lower parts of the whole outside our selves!… Because when doing it our selves we could be sure there was no short cuts made during the work!! 👍🏻

Then I got some help getting paint on it, and if you I know you know how that worked out!… What I asked and hoped for was not what I got, I refused to pay for the shitty work!… And and pretty soon after that the sides in the trailer started to get bumpy and bubbly!…. 🧐

Today I got a leaky roof and way worse bubbles on the sides and also new moisture damages mostly in the rear part of the side walls but also in the rear part of the upper floor! 😕

I have tried to look after it but haven’t found any real reason to it until after the season this year, and I also found out that the damages was worse / more than what I expected!… 😏 But at least now they won’t continue to get even worse, I hope! 😅

We have opened up the most of the loose parts on the side walls to check the damages and then I have drilled holes to remove the bad plywood to let it dry…

Can’t describe how much this sucks, and I can say that without Nicke and Peter I would not even started to work on this because this is a huge project once again!..

This past weekend we started to work on the Chevel

This past weekend we started to work on the Chevelle after the short 2025 season! 🔧🔩

Friday evening me and Happy Feet Pete did start with checking some chassis stuff I wanted to take some measurements on and look at some stuff in the Racepak after the last and final 3.84 round and the changes I did at Tierp just before that! 📝💻🥸

Then we did move it to the winter sleeping spot in the shop! 😴

Saturday dad and The Sneaky Snake joined us and we started to take the car apart and clean up and inspect everything, body, panels, chassis etc! 🧼💎👌🏻 It makes it so much more fun working on a clean race car! 🥳

On Sunday Nicke joined and we did remove the whole driveline from the chassis, of course everything is going apart again to make it all like new once again so we will be ready to whatever the future brings! 😎

I do not have a plan for 2026, I still don’t have a blower or the fundings to get all the things I need and want! BUT, we are doing and preparing the stuff we can! 🤩 It will make it easier to get the car ready for a race if I get the help I need to make and change the things I want before the next outing with the Chevelle! 🤠 Yes, I got some ideas to make it faster after looking more at the graphs from this past year! 🧐

Then we did put a cover on everything, to keep it clean and let it sit for a while when we are working on the engine, trans etc to make them go back into the chassis! 😃
