Taking the trailer and truck back home!

Yesterday was truckin time again! Time to bring the truck and trailer back home to Stockholm and continue the work on it! Right now I actually got some spirit and ideas about what to do with it! =D But I’m not worried, someone will mess something up and make me lose it again! 😉

The new good looking trucking hat! 🙂

Motor almost made one turn before it was running after almost 7 months standing here in the winter storage!

The Volvo is loaded and it’s time for some practice driving back home to Stockholm from Sollefteå!

Love the Swedish roads during the summer! 🙂

Today is a special day for a special friend of mine, it’s the World Parkinson’s Day today! 🧠

And Parkinson is the reason why I’m driving Jörgen Bergs Corvette 79 in Pro Modified! 🚙💨

I planned to announce our racing schedule today or “The Pro Mod Parkinson Tour In 2024” as I named it a couple of days ago! 😊 And then I did hear this morning, today is the World Parkinson Day! So what a great day to tell the world! 😃

As many know, Jörgen asked me in 2022 if I would like to help him finish the car and make a couple of test races with it, just for him to see it go down the track! And Parkinson is the reason he’s not driving it himself…. He cannot get his license because of it!… He was building his dream, it got delayed, he got sick during the time… 😪

I think it’s really sad, and things like this puts your mind in a different perspective. What if I got sick and could not do what I wanted the most!.. 🙄 We all complain about stuff but getting sick for real and not be able to do anything about it is on a level above everything else! 😕

Many think that I’m kind of getting paid to do this, that’s WAY wrong! It’s money and time involved like it was my own race car! I’m doing this for Jörgen! We in the team are doing this for Jörgen because we love him! 🥰 And I am honored that he wants to do this with us and trust me to drive his car!

Jörgen is one of the nicest and kindest persons I know, and that’s no matter how people treats him! He always does all he can to be the great guy he is! ❤️

So if you wanna help, do something that matters! Help the Parkinson Research Foundation and make a donation, so they can continue to work against this disease! 🙏🏻

We are also working on new shirt design with the Vette on, and we are going to donate money to the foundation for every shirt that we sell! 🤩 Hope that you are interested to support us support the foundation! 🤗

And the season is getting closer! 😅 We will be at Santa Pod Raceway in 5 weeks from today! 🥳

Ok, let’s do Scania truck work part 4! 💪🏻🤩

In the end of March Krille and Fredrik went to Ludvika to start assemble the truck again after sandblast and paint! 😃 Of course Jörgen was there too and I want to say thanks to Pontus and Klas for helping out! 😍🙏🏻

During the time I did some changes and finishing up things on the Vette that never was done when it was built!… 😑

Bänkt wasn’t there so it was a pretty peaceful weekend! 😁😘🧑🏻‍🦲

Scania truck work part 3! 🥳

In the beginning of March it was finally time for sand blasting of the frame from the cabin and back and after that the chassis got some paint to keep it from start rusting again! 😁👌🏻🥳

Bänkt of course did his thing just like always, trying to keep everyone involved happy just like he always is! 👴🏻👍🏻😅

This is once again all possible thanks to Jörgen and he’s connections to get parts and help plus the help from whole team Ludvika! 🙏🏻❤️

A little recap from mine and Sofi’s memory making Florida vacation in the beginning of March! 🤩🥳☀️

The Drag Illustrated World Series Of Pro Mod @ Bradenton Motorsports Park, that was even better with higher quality and tighter racing than in 2023! 🚙💨💪🏻🔝👑

Once again awesome to catch up some time with my friends in the PJS Racing team! 🤩 My American brother and BAD ASS tuner Brandon Pesz, wife Kim and nowadays grown up hard working son Cole! 💪🏻😃

We did meet the coolest guy on the property, the champion from last year Mr Spencer Hyde! 👑

And then some random cool and regular people like Swedes! 😜

Thanks to Wes Buck with crew for making this awesome race happen! 🙌🏻👏🏻

Then we went to Gainesville Raceway for some more racing and did hang out with Jonnie Lindberg and Jennie a bit in the Paul Lee Racing pit! 🥰

We also found a new Vette buddy using the same Andy McCoy body just like the one Jörgen has! 😍

Between the races we did pic up a new carbon fiber driveshaft for the Vette at Gulf Coast Driveshaft and got to see the shop! 😃

We did of course have some really great sunny and warm vacation, hanging out on the beaches, drinking beer and just having an awesome time together! ❤️

Then we like always, went by Susanne at Get Logistics to pack some parts up for the Vette that I was shipping to Sweden to prepare for the season, thanks again Susanne for the help! 😍

Season is getting closer quick now, still looking for partners to be able to do what we want! 😎

When me and Sofi was at Gainesville Raceway two weeks ago I saw a familiar body style! 👀😳 And we made a new friend named Paul Daigrepont! 😃

The Andy McCoy Chevrolet Corvette 1979 is not a common body style out there in the Pro Modified world! I did knew about the first one, think it was a white one that I think was crashed and repaired and then became red or if the red one was a completely new car, then Jörgen’s car, then the beautiful purple one that Larry Jeffers finished last year but haven’t made a pass as far as I know! 🤔

And then at the grandstand in Gainesville I saw this one that belongs to Paul! 😎

Of course I had to go and visit the car in the pit area! 🤠 First of all I was really curious to see the measurement between the body and tires because me and many others think that Jörgens car look strange and have way to much space between the tire and body, and it does that due to a way too narrow rear end on the car!… 🤨

Anyway I started to talk to Paul and I said “cool car and body style” and he said “yes it’s fun to be different, and it’s not a Camaro” he told me what I already knew about the other cars around with this body style and ended with “that’s also a car over in Sweden” and I said, “I know, it’s me driving it for a friend of mine” 😁 He was like “whaaat, really!?!? “ And did shout on the team to tel them who I was and so on! 😀

Really nice talking with him and to take a close look at the beautiful car! 🤩

And I really like that there is more people that wants to use a different body style just to be different! That’s awesome! 🥳🤘🏻

And it’s awesome to meet new friends like this! 😃

During the week between the World Series Of Pro Mo

During the week between the World Series Of Pro Mod in Bradenton and the NHRA race in Gainesville me and Sofi did have some real vacation! 🥳

And what’s the best thing to do when you have vacation? 🤔 Of course see cool stuff so we went by our friends Mel and Shane at their company Gulf Coast Driveshaft in Tampa to pick up the carbon fiber driveshaft they built for Jörgens Pro Mod Vette! 💪🏻🤩

They custom built a carbon fiber driveshaft with a Strange yoke for our Lenco trans using a 3.5” ID carbon fiber tubing, 2024 aluminum bond yokes and 1350 U-joints! 👌🏻

Something I think is really cool is that they offer IN HOUSE Static Torque Testing of ALL carbon fiber driveshafts before shipping! 😎

No more failed bonds or breaking carbon fiber shafts at the first hit, they know what they are selling because they have already tested it! That’s the right way if you ask me, why should the customer be the one that “checks if the product they purchased are ok”?!.. 👎🏻 Think they said they are 1 of 3 shops in America to offer a service like that! And it’s not an additional cost to your shaft, it’s included in the price! They 100% guarantee that the bonds are solid up to 4,000ft/lbs of torque and I think that makes like a 15 degree of twist in it at that load, which is CRAZY!! 😅🤣 Of course they are balanced also before the shaft leaves the shop! 😊

The reason I found them was because the one I earlier bought carbon shafts from had no interest in me as a customer… And I did remember that I saw a clip about Gulf Coast Driveshaft on @stevemorrisengines YouTube channel so I did look it up! And I can tell you I’m not disappointed about that, because the customer care and service is exactly where I should be when you are dealing with Mel and Shane at Gulf Coast! 🙌🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🔝💯
